Pakistan Shaheens Outclass Bangladesh A in Opening Clash

The Top End T20 Series 2025 began with fireworks at Darwin’s TIO Stadium on August 14, as the Pakistan Shaheens produced a dominant all-round display to defeat Bangladesh ‘A’ by 79 runs. From blistering batting to clinical bowling, the Shaheens left no doubt about their intent in this year’s competition.

Electing to bat first, the Shaheens put on a batting masterclass. Khawaja Nafay and Yasir Khan tore into the opposition, adding a rapid 100-run opening stand.

The chase began poorly for Bangladesh ‘A’ as opener Mohammad Naim was bowl by Ubaid Shah for just five. Jishan Alam (33 off 17) and Saif Hassan (57 off 32) provided temporary resistance with an 86-run stand, but once Wasim Jr. removed Hassan, the collapse was inevitable.
