CPL 2025: Pakistan’s seasoned left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir has reached a historic career milestone, becoming only the second Pakistani fast bowler to claim 400 wickets in T20 cricket. The achievement came during the Caribbean Premier League CPL 2025, where Amir is turning out for Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR).
Amir reached the landmark by dismissing Fabian Allen in the clash against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound on Wednesday.
Second Pakistani Pacer to Reach 400 T20 Wickets
With this milestone, Amir entered Pakistan’s cricketing record books. He now trails only Wahab Riaz, who holds the national record with 413 wickets in 348 matches. Amir’s 400th wicket came in his 343rd T20 match, underlining his consistency and longevity in franchise and international cricket.

Amir’s personal milestone was complemented by an impressive spell, as he picked up 4 wickets for 31 runs in his full quota of overs. However, his efforts couldn’t prevent TKR from ending up on the losing side.
